The New Balance FuelCell SD-X has all the tools that explosive short sprinters and powerful longer sprinters need to perform their best on race day. Weighing in at an incredible 5.0 ounces, the SD-X has a thick, aggressively shaped FuelCell midsole which is designed to increase power in each stride.  

Below the innovative midsole sits a carbon fiber spike plate with 8 non-removable titanium pins. This very stiff plate is bottom-loaded and features a wider forefoot platform, giving athletes the stable landing needed to accelerate through each stride. To cut down on weight, New Balance cemented the spike pins to the plate instead of including bulky spike wells and traditional screw-in spikes. Because of these non-removable spike pins, this sprint spike is designed for race day and should be saved for the most important heats and races on the calendar. 

The FuelCell SD-X is finished off with a lightweight and form-fitting knit upper that has a strong lockdown feel.  Overall, the New Balance FuelCell SD-X is a top-of-the-line sprint spike with the innovation and power needed to get advanced athletes to the next level.
